AN ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAM, DESIGNED TO INTRODUCE THE CONCEPT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (10TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE). SCHOLARS WILL BE IMMERSED IN A SERIES OF INTERACTIVE SESSIONS THAT CULMINATE INTO A “SHARK TANK-STYLE” EVENT.

THIS MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES COURSE HIGHLIGHTS NUANCES OF BROOKLYN & HARLEM'S HISTORY, VIA LANGSTON LEAGUE's FICTIONAL/NON-FICTION TEXTS. SCHOLARS WILL ANALYZE BOOKS & MEDIA ABOUT WEEKSVILLE, THE SCHOMBURG, LANGSTON HUGHES HOUSE, AND MORE.

A 2-PART WORKSHOP DESIGNED FOR HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS TO INTERNALIZE AND ANALYZE LYRICISM IN CONJUNCTION WITH CLASSIC LITERATURE. SCHOLARS ASSESS, COMPARE, & CONTRAST WORKS BY JEAN TOOMER, KENDRICK LAMAR, RHAPSODY, TONI MORRISON, CHANCE THE RAPPER, ELIZABETH ACEVEDO, & MORE.

REDESIGN REVOLUTION

USING ELEMENTS OF URBAN PLANNING & URBAN FARMING, MIDDLE SCHOOL SCHOLARS DESIGN A GARDEN GAME THAT ENHANCES THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF ECONOMICS, GENTRIFICATION, COMMUNITY, & MORE. THIS COURSE CAN BE MODIFIED FOR HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS.
